OK … a bit about what I do.

I am happily retired following a long and satisfying career in nursing and nursing leadership.

For the first eighteen months of freedom (after work) I played around with putting words on paper - or typing words into my trusty laptop. This was a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. I wasn’t brave enough to tell people that I was writing.

In the last eighteen months, I have been writing to a schedule - blame my nursing habits on that - writing after lunch most days of the week while husband and faithful cavvie snooze on the lounge.

I’ve entered competitions and completed a masterclass - thank-you best-selling author Fiona McIntosh, and now I tell anyone who gives me six seconds of eye contact, that I’m a writer.

Someone told me that you call yourself a writer until you’re published and then you can claim to be an author.

So … head to my blog to hear about what I’ve been writing.
