adding to my toolbox …

Hello there.

Still waiting inside the waiting. Waiting for that life changing phone call from a publisher.

But … I am still working on my craft, doing online courses and attending zoom sessions with the Australian Writers’ Centre.

And writing every day.

A few weeks ago, I listened to author Pamela Freeman about how to write plots that people love. She suggested having a critique buddy.

And now I have one! Devita and I will meet monthly via zoom to hold ourselves accountable to keep on writing, and read each others’ writing to provide clear and truthful feedback.

Last night, I ran a pitch past Devita and she gave me some excellent advice.

This week, I will be pitching my second book CROW to two publishers, in the hope that they will be as excited about this dark family drama as I am. Just three minutes I get, so every word counts.
